Frequently asked questions
How does it work?
BizMed will come to your workplace with licensed healthcare professionals who have extensive experience in vaccination. Book your appointment or come for a drop-in session. The vaccine is administered in the upper arm (usually the non-dominant one) and only takes a few minutes.
Which vaccine do you use?
BizMed uses Vaxigrip, which is recommended by the Public Health Agency of Sweden.
Are there any side effects of the vaccine?
Serious reactions are very rare. A local reaction at the injection site may occur, such as redness or tenderness. Some people may also feel unwell within 12 hours, but this usually passes within a day. Symptoms can be relieved with paracetamol or ibuprofen.

I can't attend any of the suggested days, can I still get vaccinated?
If you live in Stockholm, you are welcome to book an appointment at our clinic. Visit www.bizmed.se/vaccination.
Please also check with your employer that this is approved.
I am in a risk group, can I get the vaccine earlier?
Yes — those in a risk group can receive the vaccine as early as 4 or 14 November. See www.bizmed.se/vaccination for details on what applies to you.
Can I take the Covid 19 vaccine?
Unfortunately, we cannot provide the Covid-19 vaccine at your workplace, but you are welcome to book an appointment at our clinic on Malmskillnadsgatan 37 to receive it this year.
Why should I get the vaccine if I don't belong to a risk group?
Getting vaccinated is voluntary, and your risk of becoming seriously ill from influenza is generally low. However, there are still good reasons to consider it:
-
Protects others: Even if you handle the flu well, you can infect people in risk groups.
-
Reduces sick days: Influenza can leave you bedridden for 1–2 weeks with fever, aches, and fatigue. The vaccine can reduce the risk of losing valuable time from work or school.
-
Less spread in society: The more people who are vaccinated, the less the virus circulates (so-called “herd immunity”).
-
Special situations: If you work in healthcare, have young children, travel frequently, or want to stay healthy before an important period (e.g. a trip, project, or competition), vaccination may be particularly worthwhile.
